Caribbean holiday (part 1)

Here are some pictures I took during my holiday at the beginning of this year.

It was the first time I went plane spotting and allthough my camera wasn't really suited for the job (Canon S70),  the pictures came out pretty well.

First pictures are from St.Maarten (TNCM).

Fokker 50: this plane used to fly in Europe for KLM Cityhopper and VLM. It came very close to the fence for take-off.



The famous surfboard at the Sunset Beach Bar, with the arrival times of the big birds. On the bottom it says "topless women drink for free". My girlfriend preferred to pay for her drinks.  ;D

If you ever get the chance, don't hesitate, visit TNCM. I just can't describe the feeling of a big jumbo, flying just meters over your head. The smell, the noise, ...

I will be in St Maarten in April!
It will be my 1st time there and looking very forward to it!!
I can finally use my Nikon D-70 to get some "real" pictures!

The Caribbean is lovely Dave.

I went all around the Caribbean in January 2006, a truly fantastic place.
