I'd say there was a massive difference between the XI and XIX PR Spits!
Different engine, different prop, different nose from standard (on the XI)!
The XI is a de-armed IX with various specialist modifications.
The XIX is a de-armed XIV with various specialist modifications.
Of course I'm a fussy old bugger ;D

Well here is one of my shots of PM631 and PL965 flying together. Obviously the number of blades are different and there are other detail difference but looking at them from a less technical viewpoint they look quite similar IMO...

the number of blades are different and there are other detail difference but looking at them from a less technical viewpoint they look quite similar IMO...

:o Stand by for the marmalade. You're obviously not a Spitfire connoisseur. :P :D

I was thinking more a vat of boiling hot marmalade and some of the more squidgy and delicate parts of young master Stevens anatomy.... of course I'm a sadistic maniac as well as a Spitfire connoisseur ;D :o ;D
