Brno pics

Postby krigl » Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:22 pm

Hi, here are some (not fantastic I know) pics of my home town Brno, Czech Republic, to go with the re-released freeware scenery I posted in the screenshot forums....

Panorama from my balcony.

Spring :)

One week ago it looked like this...

Close up of the centre, with the Spilberk and that too-bright nav light package in use.  ::)

Fireworks over the dam....  taken with walk and follow, it would seem... too rushed to straighten it out, Piglet has a new plane out and I've gotta fly it TODAY!  :)

Cheers

What a nice looking place. Always knew it existed because of the motor racing circuit, but had never seen the town...

Don't want to bump these not very exceptional shots but just to respond...

Thanks!  :D

Not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic with the  ::) but anyway, Brno isn't such a lovely place, it's nice to live in but Prague is of course much more beautiful and a big tourist destination on an international level. Cesky Krumlov is also a lovely town, but very touristy... with a great castle high above the river.

There are many other nice castles and the mountains are small but pleasant. On the other hand the flat areas are dull and there are tower blocks all over as befits an ex-communist state. However, the blocks do mean the spread of cities has so far been limited and there's a lot of countryside left.

Thats all

Thanks for looking :)
