I treated myself to it for my birthday. Now I have to learn how to use those manual settings to my advantage. I might post a few of my efforts later. Still practicing so I don't have much to show for it so far.

A member on a Belgian forum gave me the advice to start by using the shutterspeed priority. This way you only have to deal with the shutterspeed, as the aperature is set automatically. I've used the manual settings alot allready, great fun and satisfying on still objects, but fast moving aircraft tend to be somewhat difficult. It's easier to concentrate on only one parameter and learn the other settings by experience!
I also read the lense that comes with the package isn't the best, so don't get dissapointed by it. The camera is a jewel.
Have fun Doug!
