This Baron also did well, taking off  into a cautious shallow climb.

By this time a few hours had passed; I looked at the sock, the flag, and poor little 7QJ rocking to and fro, struggling to get free of her tiedowns, and I decided to call it a day. Better to be down here wishing you're up there than up there wishing you're down here... as they say.
Maybe next weekend it'll be better.

But it was a nice day of spotting-quite a few passers-by:

About 20 miles as the crow flies... which is why I'm based there. Almost all of these flights seemed to be turning over a reporting point or nav fix nearby; not sure which one (maybe "Liner", a VOR intersection just NE of the field).

Great shots in the three post!! :)

I was thinking about you going up today and was wondering how you made out.

Just a little creepy having a cemetery so close to the airport.

Now you know. ;D
And I bet you're glad you didn't come along... with a passenger, I might've felt some pressure to go for it. No danger, I've flown in worse, but it'd have been bumpy flying and very scary landings. I had plenty of bumps on my last flight, and justdidn't want to deal with it.

Creepy, yes, but so very convenient!!
;D

Looks like it!

I really like that little cessna... almost sad... planes are made to roam the skies, not to be tied down...

Great shots Rotty!

Those 150/2's are so much fun!! A little cramped, but actually not as bad as it looks, I just hate getting in and out of them.. :P

Nice to see something danish, or rather scandinavian :P, in the thread too. ;D
