Wow!!! What a great bunch of pictures!!
Very cool to have a look inside the tower cab... all that stuff is pretty standard, same as the USA. some things, like wind/barometric pressure instruments and that light gun, don't need updating... they work fine.

Is that Convair still operational? I've seen a few flying here in the USA, but not for several years now. The DC-3, of course, will be with us for another 100 years, it seems... :)
If you get a chance, I would LOVE to see pix of inside the DC-3...;D

That strange airplane is actually a very well-proven Rutan design; quite safe, very hard to stall (the little wing up front stalls first, causing the nose to drop immediately, which gets the main wing going again). And it doesn't need rudder pedals; no rudder. Can't slip it, but you can't get all screwed up in a turn, either.
That twin-engine installation, though... clever, but... :P

I like your new Twin Commander... have you started a new career robbing banks? Don't worry; your secret's safe with us...  ;)  ;D

I like the pseudo-telephoto pix, too- worked out well. Reminds me that I cannot get my digital to work shooting through my telescope, with or without an eyepiece.  I have an adaptor that holds it centered, but I can't get it to focus.
Do you have any advice on that?

;D ;D ;D LMAO ;D ;D ;D.,,,

Hi rottydaddy, No I Hold it with my hands, I mean Binocular and camera,I let the eyepiece plug it in and a lot of patient,of course.. the little camera help me with the autofocus

Yes, I see that works very well with a refractor like binoculars... i think my trouble with my catadioptric telescope is that i need another tube for the right focal length or something... just can't seem to get the camera to focus, even with a weak eyepice like 20mm. Without the eyepiece, I only get a shot of the aperture and the shadow of the mirror... no good.

And BTW, you know, robbing banks can be dangerous- bring your Commander up here sometime and we'll talk about a smuggling business...much safer.   ;)

Hope you get out to SVVA again soon, and remember: MORE DC3 PICS!! :) Hope that "Sol de America" bird is feeling better soon... ;D

Wow - great shots Alrot, looks like you had a really cool day, I'd give my right arm to be able to go & see that. The picture with you & the Aero Commander is very cool 8) - you need to get that one printed & put up on your wall!!

Cheers,

TSC.
