Grumpy's tours 2006

Postby Hagar » Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:36 am

Grumpy's Mystery Tours is ready to go. I took these shots on the last two Sundays in January.

This is the area of Lancing & Shoreham beach south of Shoreham Airport.

Looking east towards Brighton in the distance. The rocks are the new sea defences replacing the wooden groynes or breakwaters.

This is the Widewater nature reserve. Some very nice waterfront properties here.

Cross the footbridge into Shoreham town. The church is being renovated.

Looking upriver towards the Norfolk Bridge & railway bridge beyond it. The airport is the patch of green on the right. Lancing Clump (one of my old haunts) is the hill in the backgound.

On the way home. A fishing boat on Worthing beach in the sunset.

Hope you liked them. ;)

Nice country, and very nice pix. I really like that patio shaped like the bow of a boat at that one house... :D
Pretty mild weather there, it looks like.
Still thinking of trying to go "over there" this summer; I'll bet Shoreham's really happening  during that season; it's on my list (for the airport, if nothing else).

You'd hope so. Hasn't gotten warmer than -1*C or 30*F here today. :'(
