Shutttleworth Military Pageant - August 2005. You never know quite what to expect at this fabulous place.

Now for my Piece de Resistance. 8) I can't believe I haven't posted this one before.

Just a few reasons I like Old Warden so much. If you've never been, why not? ;)

Ooohhh.. I like the sixth shot very much, with those clouds it looks like a high altitude shot. :)

That Sea Fury again  :)

it's a real pity there are no airworthy Tempest's around, those two together would be a sight

Some of those look very familiar... possibly shot a second before or after another one you've posted here.
Not that I'm complaining...!!

:D It's just possible we might see that amazing sight. http://www.hawkertempest.se/gtemp.htm

Charlie or HawkerTempest will know but I thought there was another one under restoration at Duxford.

Aye. The former Autokraft example was very close to flying (a year or so away) up in Lincolnshire somewhere (Gamston or Sandtoft). Kermit Weeks has a Tempest V under restoration with PPS at Booker...

The non airworthy Duxford example is in the states now I think, and I think that TFC's Sea Fury found its way to Duxford in return for the Tempest II for the RAF Museum...
