TSC: My first lesson.

Postby TSC. » Sat Nov 12, 2005 11:29 am

Hi all,

Have just got back from my first flying lesson at Exeter. It was absolutely amazing & I can't wait to go again!!
The instructor was really cool, we chatted about what I already knew & I told him I had a basic understanding of flight due to the sim, but had never done any real world flying - he then let me do the take off aswell as the landing, which I never even dreamed they would let me do.:D

A couple of friends came along for the ride, so they managed to get some nice piccies for me.

Just climbing out of Exeter:

The River Exe, if I remember correctly we were at 1500ft here:

Then we dived down to just 100ft above the sea, going along the coast was fantastic:

Excellent. :D

Glad you enjoyed it. Really nice photos too. Good idea to take your mates along for the ride. Exeter sounds the ideal place for a trial lesson. :D

Glad to see another person joining the real aviation community!

Now you need to fly a plane that isn't fully loaded ;D

It really makes a big difference in a '172!

Thats why I love real flight. Dont have to worry about framerates or how good that scenery looks; its always running at optimum.

Looks like that was a blast, tell us when you get you PPL!  ;)
