Duxford Autumn show 1

Postby Hagar » Mon Oct 17, 2005 5:29 am

Last big show of the season so Hagar had to be there to record it. Fortunately the fog cleared in time for the display & it was a very nice Autumn day. The hazy conditions & position of the sun (always a problem at Duxford for me) make it difficult to get decent aerial shots. Quantity rather than quality this time I'm afraid. Here's the Duxford Cats + Corsair. No Wildcat today.

A nice Tigercat they have.

And I suppose we can expect some more shots, eh? ;)

Thanks chaps. More rotten shots to come if you want to see them. Not one of my best days. I hope Roger did better than me.

Hi Doug...!

Excellent photographs of some real aeronautical animals... ;D...!

Regarding the sun...We have the same problem at Shobdon Airfield.
The runway runs East to West and the viewing area is North of the runway....
so...
We are always facing due South....right into the Sun... :'(...!
...almost impossible to take aerial photo's on a bright sunny day... :'(...!

...never mind...better than fog and rain... ;)...!
LOL...!

Paul....8)...!

P.S. Just been looking at the clearance between the prop and the ground on the Corsair.... :o...!
...got to be really careful when lifting the tail-end up, during the  take-off roll... ;)... ;D...!
(The usual tail-dragger problem)...!
LOL...;D...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
