More from Popham today. The air was full of light aeroplanes of all descriptions for most of the day. Don't think I've ever seen so many different types in one place before. Wonderful.
Interesting to see not one, but two Europas... I think I'd prefer the monowheel version, if I had the time, room and money to build one. Another fine buncha shots!
Lovely shots Doug. I have to say though (disregarding the fact I fly over the factory most a days) I could happily live never seeing a Europa again. Anyone wishing to see a copy of my final year University product would understand why!!!
Thanks Mark. According to my Boy's Book of Strange Looking Aeroplanes it's a RL5A LW Sherwood Ranger. The pilot's wife told me he used to do banner towing in Tiger Moths & built it himself. It took him something like 7 years but he was also working on other projects some of the time.
