End of season fly-in 2

Postby Hagar » Sun Oct 09, 2005 6:59 pm

More from Popham today. The air was full of light aeroplanes of all descriptions for most of the day. Don't think I've ever seen so many different types in one place before. Wonderful. :D

Interesting to see not one, but two Europas... I think I'd prefer the monowheel version, if I had the time, room and money to build one.
Another fine buncha shots!

Nice :) Like the kind of range of aircraft you get at air races. Even the odd ex-military aircraft flies then.

Lovely shots Doug. I have to say though (disregarding the fact I fly over the factory most a days) I could happily live never seeing a Europa again. Anyone wishing to see a copy of my final year University product would understand why!!! ;D

Some Fantastic camera work Doug, got the zooming correct.
Superb!

Those shots are brilliant, full of colour and motion.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mark. According to my Boy's Book of Strange Looking Aeroplanes it's a RL5A LW Sherwood Ranger. The pilot's wife told me he used to do banner towing in Tiger Moths & built it himself. It took him something like 7 years but he was also working on other projects some of the time.
