May I add "in another country" to my list? ;)

Just remember that we drive on the correct side of the road here. I was going to say the right side but that might be a tad confusing. ::) :P ;)

Look here chaps. If you want to fight, go & do it somewhere else. I was rather proud of this thread & although I know it's lighthearted this has nothing to do with my photos. ::)

A fantastic set of Shots again Doug, you really captured the essence of it all and the nice far back tranquil scenery makes do for any long day at college.
Wonderful scenery and weather, nothing like a cold crisp morning is there? Sometimes better than a summers morning!
I can remember doing shooting lessons on sunday around 8:30am in the fall/winter time, take a cup of cofee and taking aim at targets, what better to do? LOL...and the best bit coming home to s roast dinner!....I really sound like my uncle there LOL..

Alot of people complain too much about winter mornings,as long as its bright, fresh and clear its great for me. anyone else agree?

I think i will pop down to Netherthorpe one sunday and get in before it gets busy. And watch the Planes take off with a Bacon 'sarnie! LOL

One thing i have always wondered about, and some of you may know, is when the winter, bitter and frosty does arrive, how do all the vintage aircraft withstand the seasons? Are they painted? Covered? stored especially?....Always wondered me.
Or maybe they are not effected? ???

I must make a visit down to popham looks great, but its getting down there which is the problem ::)

Once again Doug, brill shots, and sorry i havent been in here sooner, been trapped up with college and work. ;D

Cheers

Hi Jimbo. Glad you finally found my shots & that you like them.

As for the vintage aircraft, some of them might be quite rare now & valuable too but they were once the latest thing since sliced bread. They were designed to fly which they do quite well. Providing the weather's OK they can do that at any time of the year. It's just a tad more draughty in those open cockpits in the winter, that's all & many of them have no heater. ;)
