Well, so much for my inheritance...

Postby beaky » Sun Aug 28, 2005 8:43 pm

My half-brother Ray has owned a beautiful mostly-stock 1965 Mustng for a while now; he's almost 20 yrs. my senior, and a while back I jokingly asked if he'd leave it to me "if something happened" to him... ;D
Well, dagnabbit, he's going to sell her, as well as his daily driver, a Ford Focus.
Visited him today, and took some snaps of this classic. It'll be sad to not see her anymore, and take fun rides with the top down... never even got to drive it.  :'(
Here I caught him tenderly wiping a tiny smudge off the paint (not the original paint job, BTW):

The interior's in damn good shape:

What's he replacing them with? A Chrysler PT Cruiser!! I don't really like them, but the ragtop version is pretty cool. And it was a good deal on a brand-new car; he's happy with it.

Ray's a mechanic and has owned and restored many interesting cars over the years; I'm trying to get some of his collection of photos scanned, and will likely be posting a few here soon.

Yeah, it's too bad, but it's probably karmic just desserts for me even jokingly suggesting he leave it to me... ;D
I don't even really care about that- I'll just miss that car, and I doubt he'll ever get another classic. All my life I've seen this guy in one classic after another... kind of weird to see him driving a new car.

No pics of the Focus? ;D

Why?  ;D
You wanna buy it?  ;D
It's actually not a bad car at all, and he took very good care of it. It's just not very picture-worthy...I mean, it's a Focus...

How much?

Oh, there are many everyday-cars that are picture worthy...the Focus is one of them.

Nice car. He has kept it up well! It will probably be still working like clockwork when his new Chrysler reaches its lifes end.

beautiful car.:) shame about it being sold though.

they are a good car got my license in one. Little slow for my liking though and the sport models suspension will destroy your spine quickly. Much prefer the VW Golf.

Here's the Focus:

Not sure what he's asking, but I could find out. It's got between 30 and 40,000 miles on it, and it's clean and well-maintained.
