Shuttleworth Military Pageant

Postby Hagar » Sun Aug 07, 2005 6:41 pm

A small selection from Charlie & Hagar's grand day out at Old Warden.

A very nice 7/8th scale replica of the Fieseler Storch. Not seen this before.

Surprise. Look what dropped in for a very nice display. :D At last I got a couple of half-decent shots of the RNHF Sea Fury.

Thanks chaps. It was a tad cloudy & chilly round the old lug'oles when the sun went in. More like blinkin' October than August. :o ;)

Which Aircraft is Number 5 & 6?
Looks like a great aircraft.!

Number 5 is billed as a Me 108 Taifun, nearest thing we have to a Me 109 these days. It's actually the Nord 1002, the French-built post-WWII version. http://www.airbum.com/pireps/PirepME-108.html
No 6 is a Douglas Skyraider.

i'd love to go to some of them airshows, unfortunately

1) DAD isn't into planes
2)No car!

Shame. Ah well, I'm sure you'll make up for it one day. ;)

PS. I might post some more tomorrow.

When im old enough, im getting straight to the Shows. :D

Cheers Doug for these Fascinating shots for the time being, as least i can get a taste of what it feels like for when im older, and you have managed to give me the feeling. ;)

Those speak for themselves pretty well! ;D
What can I say... hmmm... I am very impressed with your good use of such poor light, and your success with using more angles than usual!! ;D
And what a great show I missed...a real nice bunch of airplanes. And a Sabre, of all things! :) Probably my favorite jet fighter ever.
Feel free to divulge any technical information you might want to share with us lowly ones, Master... ;)  ;D

Bravo!!

Nice shots Doug. If I get to Sussex this year I hope to see another AH-1. A wonderful plane, 'tis. :)

Oh, and Sussex, New Jersey. Not UK, Doug. ;)
