It's been a very nice day with lots of activity. Shoreham is a convenient base for the Airbourne 4-day seafront air show at Eastbourne, not far along the coast. Thursday is 'arrival day' & the service teams all showed up. A chance for a chat with the crews in an informal environment & the kids love it. (I'm just a big kid in a elderly body.

)
Of course, public relations is all part of the job & Shoreham is one of the best places for this sort of thing. Most of the crews enjoy coming here. I was a tad disappointed that my friends from the Royal Netherlands Air Force PC-7 display team didn't turn up. No Utterly Butterly wingwalkers either so I'm not sure if they're booked this year. The reserve Harrier & one of the Blue Eagles Gazelles went "tech" at short notice so all being well they will arrive tomorrow.
Local 'press day' tomorrow when we usually get our own private air show. I intend going early providing the weather holds. I would have liked to have popped along to Eastbourne to see the actual display but have other commitments this weekend.
