These are all pictures that my sister and dad have taken at the show. All my pictures were on the 35mm and haven't been developed yet. But as you can see, it was an AMAZING two days!! For the first time in the last 5 years, the sky was COMPLETELY clear at McChord! In fact, I never even knew that Mt. Rainier was the backdrop as it's been so cloudy in years past!
The base is home to the 42nd Airlift Wing as seen here taking off. The C-17 demo and Airfield Assault demo are always amazing to see. The fact that this aircraft can rutinely operate out of 3,000 foot strips is AMAZING!

Here is one of the bases Globmasters releasing paratroopers. They streached all accross the sky! It was amazing.

There were three C-17's involved in the Airfield Assault demonstration, and here you can see two of them in action. The first to land just backed off to another taxiway to allow the first to land. And yes, the C-17 is the only aircraft that can actually back itself up to a cargo dock. Pretty sweet to see that thing back up and turn around!

Mt. Rainier was our wonderful backdrop for the entire show! Amazing to see it with these amazing jets flying in front of it. Here the F-15 West pilot taxies to the end of the runway for takeoff.

The Eagle never lets anyone down, that's for sure! All burner, all the time! Here she is on takeoff roll. Notice the deflection of the elevons to keep the nose on the ground? I've seen this demo probably 7 times in the last couple of years, and never noticed this! lol

Here is a high speed pass by the Eagle. Check out those shock diamonds!

Stay tuned for parts two and three!
