Sopwiths in the sunset

A little magic from the Sunset Display at Old Warden yesterday. The Sopwith Pup flies again.

You've already seen 'Dixie' the Sopwith Triplane. Wonderful to see them in the air together in the glorious evening sunlight. Magic. ;)

This was the first public display of the Pup since being completely refurbished.

I think your camera has been specifically made to best shoot at this display. Now if only they were all like that:)

Thanks Craig. You might be right about the camera. I stopped messing around with settings & left it on full Auto. ::) ;)

If the weather is kind it's almost impossible to take a bad photo at this place. This is due to a combination of an ideal location, beautifully restored & maintained rare aircraft & the skill of the display pilots, all enthusiasts themselves. Not forgetting the dedication & friendliness of everyone involved. It's a pleasure to visit Old Warden no matter how many times I go there. I take off my hat to the staff & volunteers who make this possible. Thank you. ;)

That third Pup shot is perfect, the sort of thing to frame and hang on the wall ;)
Thanks for posting them Doug, brought a ray of sunshine into Sunday morning :)

Wow, amazing stuff. If we ever swapped the screen shot contest for a photo comp, you would win hands down every month old pal. ;D
