Mustangs anyone?

A most impressive display of precision formation aerobatics. Flown by two members of the USAF 'Heritage Flight' - for once in similar aircraft types. These chaps were stuck together like glue. Fantastic. :o

At last I get to see a P-39 in the air.

And here's the mighty Jug.

Most impressive photos Doug, I still haven't seen the 39 flying, I've read the articles, seen her in the workshop :(

The P-39 again! love it!

Speaking of mustangs, I almost went to a fly-in (just a little to far to drive) featuring 2 mustangs flying in formation and such. Well, one of them suffered an engine failure during take-off and crashed :( Luckily the pilot wasn't injured, and the picture I saw of the plane didn't look too bad, so maybe it can be re-restored.

Nice shots Doug! Wish I could have been there. You could get used to Leg ends - almost every year they have pilots over from the US for part of the display - this isn't the first occasion that they've had the formation Mustang duo. Last time I saw them I thought I was looking at an F-82!!! ;) ;D

I have one or two but you know how it is. I always mess up the ones I really want. What we call Sod's Law. ::)

Don't tell Ozzy but I rather like them myself. ;)

PS. Since you asked so nicely I can hardly refuse. I'll post some of the naval types including the Tigercat later, maybe tomorrow.
