Grand shots there. ;D

I was planning on going myself but as were scuppered by the wind as we were going to sail up and a 20 knot easterly is not a nice wind to slog up channel in. So I went to France instead. So I got some photo's from there that i'll probably post at some point.

All I saw of square riggers is the two I passed sailing round Land's End this morning. :P

Looks like the only festival I'll be going to this year is the Risor Tre Bat Festival in Norway. C'est la vie. Douarnenez next year. ;D

These are fantastic photos Doug. Looks like it was a great event. Shame I live so far from the South coast.

Very nice Doug.

Isn't the Invincible still active? I'm surprised they'd have let you on. Prime target for a terrorist.. And here we are having to take our shoes off at the airport, even if we're wearing sandals.. ::)

Very cool shots though.

To be honest these are about the best. I can post some more if you wish.

Thanks James. HMS Invincible is fully operational & on 24-hour stand-by.  No reason we shouldn't be allowed on board to have a look round. Like every other British taxpayer I own a very small part of that ship. I like to see what it's spent on. ;)

Makes sense. :)

When you put it in those terms, my mom and dad probably own the mop to clean the head on the USS Carl Vinson.. ::)
