A Day in the Life- part 5

Postby beaky » Sun Feb 27, 2005 12:59 pm

1500 hrs: Up four double flights of stairs, and I come home to find the loft empty. there are ten of us living here, but we're rarely all here at the same time. This is the view from just inside the north entrance, looking east. There's always remnants of bygone holidays lingering... note the Xmas tree in the kitchen! This time of day, the sun is very nice in this part of the loft...but where's Peg, the Wonder-Rotty?

There's my baby! Good girl. What's that? Yeah, well I asked you this morning, and you said you didn't have to go.. gimme a minute, willya?
Image
Peg always waits for me to go down the stairs first- she has to go from left to right down each flight, or she'll fall on her face.

Man, she really did have to go- didn't let me bring her out of the parking lot, even! Good girl... dookie! I'll have to move that one- not that it matters much with all the trash!

1745 hrs: I take care of a few odds and ends, and do a little sim-flying... then pause by the big windows on the east end of the loft to watch the heavies landing on Runway 22 as the sun sets...
Image
Well, this is one of those nights when just about everybody shows up and tries to figure out how we can all cook dinner at the same time...it's often a communal effort. Funny thing is, I can't for the life of me remember what we did for food that night! Whatever. Here's some of the roomies: Faith, an elementary-school teacher, Christopher, a writer, and Andrew, a carpenter, all hanging out at the kitchen table.

NEXT: Another boring Friday night at home

Interesting series Rottydaddy! Cool shots. I think the grainy look of them makes em even better.

And give Peg a hug from me, allright?

Yeah, kinda. These are shot on film with a super-crummy disposable and processed at CVS... the quality is pretty inconsistent, but definitely works OK in a few of those.
But whatever- this series was more about the subject than the quality of the photos.

Consider her hugged! She gave me a big sloppy kiss for you, but I wish she hadn't- her breath smells like cat turds today, for some reason  ;) :-X!
