Some Boats & a Plane!

Postby Fly2e » Tue Feb 22, 2005 7:50 pm

I took a walk down the hill of my backyard out onto what is called Long Island Sound. Found a few fisherman working hard. It is cold and mid-winter here.
Nothing much but just wanted to share these with you!

Really like those pictures... and how about the 152 on floats!? Wonder what the cruise speed is?  Just right, I bet... ;) :)  That plane should've been in the air on a day like that!

I like that 4th pic, that boat is a quaint little thing. Seeing something like that I would have whipped out the ol' Bigma and taken 20+ photos of it from different angles ;D. The 150G is quite neat, If I remember correctly there is a trio of 150s available on avsim and one of them has floats.

P.S.
"Bigma" is the name affectionately given to the Sigma 50-500mm f4-6.3 EX APO telephoto lens by it's many owners.

Very nice Dave. You live in a very pretty place. It's surprising what beautiful things surround us if we only take the trouble to look. Unfortunately many people these days seem too busy to find out.

Thank You for posting your comments. I am usually not one to post many "photo's" in this forum because I am very critical of my shots. I have so many but never know which ones to post, therefore it leaves me posting none!

Great shots... that plane could use a little bit of de-icing. :)

Very good point about not appreciating what you have around you.  Very easy to do.

Thanks for sharing those shots.  Reminds me of home.  Can't wait to get back.
