Well it's another sad day in the 737 world. The first 737 built without those cute little "eyebrow" windows is finished and destined for Southwest any day now (aircraft N201LV). Southwest is going to plug all existing eyebrow windows on their 737s. Will save a lot in maintanence costs. I'm pretty sure Boeing has discontinued the eyebrow windows and all future 737 off the line will be without them.
I agree the 737 looks "naked", but also gives it a cleaner modern look. Besides those windows has no functional use nowadays and they could be a pain when the sun was shining right through them.
And not to mention it reduces the overall weight with a whooping 20lbs ::) And you may know this since you are in that line of work; they usually needs to be replaced every 2nd year or so, due to delamination. :)
