Guess the battleship!

Postby Woodlouse2002 » Tue Feb 01, 2005 6:40 pm

Right, as guessing the actual identity would be rather tricky (impossible even) I want to hear the class of warship that this belongs to. As I don't actually know for certain myself, the most convincing answer shall win. ;)

Never trust school books. They tend to sell you all kinds of rubbish...;)

Okay, let's sort out what it is not:

- Dreadnought
- Corvette
- Destroyer

What do you think Woody?

PS. I have no great knowledge of ships. Woody gave me a clue before posting this.

My uneducated guess would be either the "Lord Nelson" or "Agammemnon"

Well, Hagar and Felix seem to have put forward a remarkably similar guess as to what it is. And it has me convinced. ;D

I shall have to find another battleship picture...

Well, being what the Navy may call a "Crab", I'd guess tht this is a ship. A ship which is not capable of taking the RAF's superb Harrier, or the Royal Navy's (for sale) Sea Harriers... ;D

Only your excellent choice of image for your Avatar saves you from a keel-hauling!

Oops - forgot I had a FAA aircraft as my avatar - shame - an RAF version would have been nice - but then again it probably would have been green and grey too :P
