DC3 as promised

Postby Politically Incorrect » Tue Feb 10, 2004 9:37 am

Well here are a few pics as promised from my trip visiting the
Ozark Airlines DC3. Sorry for the quality the bird was hangered for annual inspection but I hope that these photos will give you a look at the DC3 not seen by many, and will also show the quaility work the crew does in maintaining this beautiful piece of history!

This is the new panel, updated but kept to retain it's original look.

I'll post some more later after I resize, it appears that these might be too big for the forums? If so let me know and I'll shirink them some more:)

The engine exposed:

At 17' I couldn't get a look inside, reminds me of a VW bug :)

Of course this is where you load up! This DC3 is still in passenger configuration, which i have not seen in person before!

A Kodak Easyshare CX4230 I bought off Ebay for $50 (included rechargeable batteries, recharger, case, and tripod) not a bad deal and I recommend for your first digital!

And thank you Ozzy! I really like that engine! (or "motor" as Douglas refers too them) Can you imagine the amount of work it takes too keep them looking that clean!! And this is proof of the love these guys that look after this bird have for her!!!!!!!!! But like I have said you really need too see "Mossy Back" in person! these pictures as well as the others I'll post soon don't do her justice!
