How do you change the format of a picture. I have some really nice shots I wanted to post, but the format is bmp. (Bitmap) Please help.

Get an useful little program called Irfanview:
http://www.irfanview.com/Open the .bmp pic with irfanview and "save as" a .jpeg
Irfanview also allows you to resize and edit a picture. You'll find it very useful!
