In the dark

Postby jankees » Tue Sep 16, 2008 2:07 pm

It's probably happened to most of you: you decide to fly 'somewhere else' ,pick the airport and say 'fly now' and ooops, you're all in the dark.
Sometimes hitting the lights helps, sometimes not.
The last time, I took this shot:

which I like enough to share it with you. Who knows what I'm flying here?

Jankees, thanks for repainting the Shockwave P-40, not many paints out there. I love your work. :)

Is there any chance of repainting it into USAAF P-40N "Little Jeanne". I've seen this aircraft in the flesh because its registered in Australia. Here are some pics, if your interested. It would be a great paint.

8-)

I can do the repaint easily enough, but the Schockwave model is a P-40B, not a P-40N, so it has a completely different nose.
Is that a problem?

It shouldn't be too much of a problem. :)

Cheers

OK, I'll see what I can do. I assume you want it with the old registration VH-KTI and the white prop hub, not the present reg and color?

It would be nice to have the Australian Registration version, but whatever suits you Jankees. Thanks again. 8-)

Hi Mitch,

Here's few quick pics of progress so far, taken just before FSX froze my computer..
As you can see, it's starting to resemble something, but I need to line up both parts of the stars'n bars, and do some work on the white rims on the wings, and sort a few more details... Work continues tomorrow....
