Postby JBaymore » Sun Aug 12, 2007 12:05 am

Boy, it seemed like we really didn't have a day off in there.

It is actually BAD!  It has TOTALLY spoiled me for using other airports that DON"T have it!

As I sit there at the gate running on APU and working thru the checklists and setting up stuff like the MCP with the low level sound of the boarding passerngers and cabin crew working in the background..... it is simply indescribable how that adds to the realism factor.

Right down to all the little things like the pre-boarding details of the cleaning crew telling me they are done, or the marshaller walking with the aircraft as it pushes back and tells me that I can start engines.

It is just a brilliant piece of software.

I WANT it to be that way at EVERY airport!!!!!!!!!!!

best,

.....................john

I know exactly how you feel!

I don't think I've flown out of a non-AES airport at all in the last 4months!

FlyTampa Airport + AES + PMDG 747-400 + Activesky + SkAI Traffic = As real as it gets. For me anyway.

Your cheating, sitting in a simpit  :P

Ha ha, I can't describe how envious I am of you, but there is noway I have the electrical skills to be able to set one up! Or the funds  ::)

All the best,
Alex

Notice:

I have split off the disussion of the SkAI package, moved it, and locked it at least temporarily.

Please continue with discussion of AES or the screenshots themselves.

Good

not to go against what you asked, but so eveyone is aware

SKai is exactly what you think it is and the place where the creator of it established his turf is a pirate forum, and I do mean a bad one too.

They are responsible for stealing both pay and freeware products, cracking them and placing them on the pirate bay, emule and all the other P2P networks

MS is completely aware of him and his forum and it is being monitored

I'd like to echo what people said above,
Great shots!  I like the AES you have there, however what puts me off is that it isn't available at British airports...yet!
Excellent though.

Larger British airports are largely neglected by freeware designers. I'm not quite sure why!

Gary Summons of UK2000 has said he has no intention of applying AES to his aiports.

The only hope for UK simmers at the moment is Aerosoft's version of Heathrow. Which looks amazing  ;)
