West to Sitka

Postby TSC. » Thu Jan 04, 2007 7:07 pm

More shots from what has turned out to be a mini tour of the Misty & Tongass Fjords for Esselbach.

Leaving Johnson Petersburg, bound for Sitka - just a short 80nm hop to the east:

The weather has been really good this week - so good in fact, that I had to double check that I still had R/W weather selected:

A quick overfly of Sitka, no boats moving around the channel, so I'll pop the 206 down on the water rather than the airport:

Just about to make a splash:

Just about to tie up, as a fishing boat makes it way out of the harbour:

Cheers,

TSC.

Another great set of shots TSC! 8-)

You're right, whatever happened to the harsh Alaskan winter weather? All I can say is, enjoy the good weather while it lasts :)

Keep 'em coming...! ;)

God only knows Andrew, I've had to check my weather settings everytime I've done a hop, but apparently it's correct. Ah well, like you say, make the most of it - it's only warm when your in direct sunlight  ;D

Glad your enjoying the shots,

TSC.

No worries Mees, I'll PM you, but most of my flights are spur of the moment things, usually in the evening - we'll see if we can something sorted out.

Cheers,

TSC.
