You should add some jet flame things coming out of the jet thingies(how scientific :P)
and maybe some of those contrails or whatever they're called.
That would make it look cooler.
or add some lasers coming out of the cannons.

Cool idea, pic!! Perhaps you could change the weathering on the more distant spacecraft so they look different and not like the same model...

You could change the contrast and the colors, that helps most of the time.

also, the big ship at the back. try and make it look like its emerging out of the clouds add some real depth to the pic

It should be much further away for it to be even near those clouds.
