One very unfortunate photographer

On a british destroyer, this unlucky photographer captured this jewel with barely enough time to turn away from the blast.
It's a miracle this film made it back in one peice;
there was a bullet hole 3 inches from the camera strapped to his live preserver.

He must've been in a pretty big hurry...
