B-17 formation

Postby BAW0343 » Wed Mar 29, 2006 7:17 pm

This edit started as 3 pics. Orginally i planned to do an edit with a bomb run and flak  you know all that cool stuff,  but im not that good yet  ;D so i used 3 images, the wing and the plane farthest to the left are one, the background is one, and the formation to the right is one, i then did a cut out effect and poster edges effect and got this. I did a few brightness and contrast edits aswell. anyway here it is :

Nice, would look better if the clouds were fluffier as they apear as solid as the aircraft.

Looks very  good the clouds could be about 1% softer but heres what I would like to see with it. The color idea is very good and very easy. What you do is use your selection tools including Magnectic Lasso and QuickMask. Select the airplane or parts of it and press Ctrl+U (Hue and Saturation) click colorize and move the sliders around to get a cool color. You can do real colors or some really whacked out ones. You can figure it out. Also I suggest when doing this you feather the edges a tad so they dont come out so hard and helps hide the mistakes that happen when selecting. To do a feather you go to Selection (after you have made your selection) and click "Feather." The amount of pixels depends on how much feather you want around the edge, also be careful because a 12px feather on a 300 rez pic will be much less than a 12px feather on a 72 rez pic. Try it out I would love to see some color in it also. ;D
