Honda Biz-Jet

Postby dcunning30 » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:23 pm

I saw an article in USAToday today about this Biz-Jet.  Though many of you may have known about this in a while, I was impressed.  The biggest departure from the norm is it's engines are mounted above the wings.

I saw it at Oshkosh in July. It is an impressive aircraft. Here are two pictures I posted when I came back.

I got to see it take-off on the last day of AirVenture.  It looks interesting, but from what I could see, wasn't much different from most other biz-jets out there.

Amazing in it's self that the company actually did engine developement and testing. Always appeals as one of those fancy unique biz jets.

...another interesting fact heard during a radio discussion...

Mounting the engines above the wings drastically reduces noise heard on the ground, due to the shielding effect of the wings, making the aircraft more acceptable in noise sensitive areas.... ;)...!

Paul....an excellent idea....
....I just wish they would apply a similiar idea to bleedin' helicopters......>:(....!
