1906 - The Battle Creek Toasted Cornflake Company (Kellogg's) began its career to produce breakfast cereals, originally developed as a health food for psychiatric patients.
For the moment, I'll feign sanity and say no more.

1942 - President Franklin Roosevelt signed an executive order that relocated Japanese-Americans to remote internment camps, which lasted for about 2.5 years.
There's a multiple outlook on this, neither side speaking well of the populace, and, though the reasons were correct viewpoints, the choices were not properly appointed.
