This was in yesterdays Telegraph as example of modern journalistic excellence:

"Senior Officer" is a rank in the RAF apparently? It's a sad day when a broadsheet no longer understands the difference between Officers and NCOs. Why would a perfectly sensible Sgt want to be tarred with the same brush as a Sqn Ldr!
Pet peeve of mine, when people spell Qantas with a 'u'. Title changed.
As you can imagine the media are having a field day over here with these latest mishaps. I think because Qantas is Australia's national airline they are monitored very closely and any incident will make for a media frenzy. Qantas has had an extremely bad run of luck lately, the last 4 years have seen its fair share of minor incidents. These haven't helped the airlines image when media jump all over it, passengers will be avoiding Qantas for fear of an engine falling off. Just ignore the fact that Qantas is one of the worlds safest airlines, not a single crash in its 90 year history. Pretty damn good considering its the second oldest airline still in continous operation.

Oh yeah, right.
Sorry about that.
