BA 777 lands short of runway at LHR

Although the details are as yet unknown, I'll bet this was just one of those automated system (throttles specifically) hiccups that would have been less of a big deal in cruise (where there would be time to sort it out and get the engines lit again), but could not be troubleshot on short final, requiring a manual emergency landing.

Yet another example of why I will never fly on a plane without a human pilot.
