As you probably know, I was recently on vacation...I arrived at Brussels on board a relatively new Jet Airways 777-300ER which was bound for New York...Needing the connection to Toronto, I was to change flights at Brussels...Our flight had arrived on time and unfortunately, my connecting flight was delayed by about 1 hour and 30 minutes...I whiled away the time by walking around the airport and plane spotting. I decided to return to my gate just in case...About 5 minutes after I sat down, I saw a Jet Airways A330 touch down on the runway...I assumed it was our aircraft...I waited for the aircraft to pull up to the gate...When it was a bit closer, I noticed two rotating beacon lights on the top of the aircraft...I thought it was some kind of reflection or that there was something wrong with my eyes...I waited for the aircraft to come closer still and this time, I could make out two distinct beacon lights on the roof of the aircraft and the usual one on the belly...My question is why there were two rotating beacon lights on the roof? I have yet to see any other A330 with this type of configuration.
