The BBC are becoming less worthy of the license fee every day.
I happened to be changing my camera battery at the time so I didn't see the events leading up to it. When I looked up I saw what I at first thought was a model Hurricane diving vertically into the hillside north of the A27 before disappearing behind the crest of the hill. I half expected it to come zooming up towards me but in my heart I knew the awful truth. Although it was happening almost in slow-motion it was obvious to me that nobody could survive that impact even before the plume of smoke appeared some time afterwards. Despite their claims to the contrary I'm fairly certain that the majority of spectators were blissfully unaware of anything unusual until they were told over the PA system. However tragic this might be I feel that it was very lucky that nobody else was hurt. There were a lot of spectators on that hillside.
