2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Australian F-18, i.e. the AF-18 (or AF/A-18). ;)

stuff the F/A-18 you guys have already dumped it for the F/A-18E/D

We haven't until 2010 HEHE then we get the shitty JSF in 2015  ::)

Think of all that delicious thrust  :o 43,000 pounds of thrust from a single engine?! That's more than both of the "Bug's" engines combined! (43,000>36,000)

Of course, that's the C model with 36,000pounds of thrust. The "E" model Super Hornet has 44,000 pounds of thrust from two engines.

Depends on the paint scheme, really. Personally, I think the first F-35 (DARK grey, various flags on the side) looks really nice.

And layne..did we really need another favourite plane thread?
