not hard to figure out who has the right-of-way. actually, local crop dusters around here do that all the time! not on major u.s. highways like that though. :D

Friend that was at Oshkosh said the landing occurred at a road that was very close to and parallel to the runway at Oshkosh... he said it was RIGHT next to the airport... if thats the case one has to wonder why not land on the runway? but i could be mistaken... early information is pretty much always hearsay.

"close" to the airport could have been 2 or 3 miles - which is a long way when you have no engine power!

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
