Airventure 2007!!

Postby beaky » Mon Jul 23, 2007 6:38 pm

Wow... finally got here last night after 25 hrs on the road (a good 4 of which was spent on the shoulder fixing a nasty colling hose problem).

Crowded this year- got a lousy spot way out yonder... but I brought a bicycle this time, so it's OK.

Wandered around a bit today, watched some arrivals and a bit of the show... got very sunburned. ;D

Right now I'm sitting on the ground outside a shower house, charging my camera batteries and this laptop while enjoying a strong if sporadic wifi connection. ;D

Gonna regroup to take some sunset shots by the flightline, do a little grillin' and beer drinkin', then I'll go see a tonight's movie. The Beach boys are playing tonight but I can pass on that. ;D

Tomorrow: at least one workshop, then I'm gonna see if I can volunteer doing something for a few hours (IF they let me charge my batteries somewhere all day! ;D ), then I should probably do a little work on my car and get that out of the way (it needs more work to get me home with no worries).

Hoping to meet up with friends from this and other forums during the week... poste the first ccrop of pics, too- see the Photo forum.

Sounds good, we should set up some time to meet this week.  Any time would work for me, except Wednesday afternoon (I have to take Instrument written test :P), and Friday I've got a lesson in the afternoon, so I'll probably be up to see the show and walk around most of Saturday.
