It was just posted that Glacier Girl will require a complete engine replacement so that more than likely verifies my above comment.
It will remain in Goose Bay until that is done. So looks like Goose Bay will have a new resident for quite some time.

That's a bummer, especially as it means she will probably not make it to Oshkosh in July...  :'(

But I'm glad the problem was detected early and dealt with conservatively- better stuck in Canada than limping somewhere over the Atlantic on one engine!

Saw this on Air Scene UK yesterday:

with luck the P-38 'Glacier Girl' may make the UK after all, but a week late - a new engine is on its way to the stricken fighter. With luck Ed Shipley will take the P-38 to Fairford and possibly fly with an F-15C. Courtesy Gary Watson


There might still be hope, although not for Legends.
