Wow, that's one hell of a hill to walk (Salt Box Hill) and a long way from Addington (watch your wallet in your pocket, lovely area  ;) ).
I used to drive up that sucker every morning on the way to work, I miss racing down it and handbraking left into the lane and then racing along it, ah the days of being 17 again lol

Make sure you do a good job with the Typhoon/Spitfire flypast. You won't see it again.

This particular performance is only scheduled to take place at Biggin Hill now, following the BBMF day at Duxford. After that the formation won't be seen again in 2007 (i didn't mean it wouldn't EVER happen again). The RAF will be doing other 'signature' formations at other larger events.

All the roads around the back of New Addington are good for a "Colin McRae" bit of driving.. just watch those blind bends..  ;)

As for the lovely area comment... shouldn't be a problem if I get the Saturday off work 'cos I'll pick mic and his Dad up and drive them there.

Where you from ells? I'm sort of local.

I dont really complain about the hill....its just the lack of pavements ;)

I remember having to leave early last year and having the spitfire buzzing over through the gaps in the trees above us as we walked down the hill :)

I lived with my parents in The Grove from about 14 years old to 22 (down in the valley off of Polesteeple Hill) and then moved away.
I then moved back about 5 years ago to Church Road (next to the church lol) but moved to Kemsing, Sevenoaks 2 years ago this September.

I still see a few light ac from my back garden and saw a few jets from last years show, but not as good as being in Biggin and watching it.

At the top of Salt Box Hill on the right is a pub (not sure if it's still open now). One of my dad's friends owned it and we used to sit in the back by the swimming pool watching the show for free, great times.

A few of my friends also lived around the area, so we used to pile into a garden or two on the day to watch it. Christy Road just off the end of the runway in the valley was the best one.

Ah the days of being young and not having two small children to contend with lol (not that i'd change them for the world)
