Well, yes. That has nothing do do with the discussion really though. If (hypothetically) someone wanted to screw someone's career up, there are a lot more 737 pilots to hide amongst than Concorde pilots (fot the sake of this discussion). It's not nice being dropped in it, and it's not a pleasant feeling when you accidentally drop someone in it either, particularly in the world of professional aviating, which is why occasionally the finer details of things are sometimes best kept to oneself.

Many Cessna 152's
Many Cessna 172's
Cirrus sr22
Robinson R44

Dude, Concordes don't cost 4 Billion to 10 Billion $ USD. I'd be surprised if they surpassed 110 million $ USD or 56 Million Pounds. Oh, wait, they're used, better drop that price by 1/3rd.

A new 737 runs for 24 Million pounds, to 41 Million pounds for the Boeing 737-600 and Boeing 737-900ER respectively.

If you got SkyTV or Sky then watch the Discovery Wings channel and watch the program on there called Concorde:The final flight and you shall see stated there around 5 times that it cost betwwen 2-6 BILLION UK POUNDS to buy.

I am working for a company who is providing ground services for airlines in Romania.
I was in the cockpit of KLM from LROP to EHAM and back.Boeing 737-800 and 737-900.
In the cockpit of the  aircrafts at the position I enter daily ... part of my job.

What about the fact that the French had serviced the gear on that particular night and had not fitted the axle spacer between the wheels and that  main wheel assembly shook themselves to death. There is a whole lot more to this story than a small bit of metal on the runway.

Engineer shut down an engine 20 kts below safe operating speed without consent of the captain.
Soot marks on the runway well before the metal strip was found.

Spring 2006 - Flew Embraer erj-135 as part of a class got to start it up, taxi to runway, fly 20 minutes in flight manuevers, and sit jumpseat on landing

Does the front seat of an A-4, A-6, A-3 or F-4, looking at the centerline of a Carrier, worth mentioning??  However, Those were the days of "steam guages" - I would have to admit that I would have some problems interpreting the new "Video Pong" displays in todays jetliners!
