You have to remember that even if you fit, the fighters have zero, zero ejection seats which have explosives run through the glass and shatter upon you pulling the eject handle (e.g. white lines in the harrier canopy). Hate it when those go off :P



That is why aircraft like the Harrier reduce the sitting height limits. Depending on the layout of the MDC (minature detonating chord) your head can be various distances from the canopy glass. For example, and aircraft with a single strip down the centre of the canopy to snap it in half, will need a greater clearance than a canopy with a chord "ring"...

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
