I'd say that's the closest so far, he has a history of donating to national "heritage" projects - even yesterday morning it was said that the donor owned a football club. Well don to whoever it was!
As for a SimV donation - I've been trying to think of the best way to go about it - maybe a pledge thread (so the amount pledged is transparent). Then someone would have to collect funds (via Paypal perhaps) and pay it...
