Well the weather was good to us on Sunday. A full flying program. Managed meet up with Arnimon too.
Good display by two T6 Texans, Me 108, two JU 52's just to name a few (and because a can't remember!) Model aircraft flying was some of the best I have seen. The German champion did his stuff, it was amazing. Formation display by model jets, two Star Fighters and two BAe Hawks. That was the first time I have seen model jets live. The noise that they make is the icing on the cake. Sadly, the Air Bus 380 (with four model jet engines) was not there, the owner/builder/pilot was not well.
Unfortunately I left right at the wrong time. Bearing in mind I had a 3 1/2 year old with me and did not want to be in a queue with a couple of hundred other cars waiting an hour to get out. I left just before the P51 finished his display. As I got back to my car, another model jet took to the sky. It was an SR71 Blackbird. I mention this only because I was a good 300 meters away, maybe a little more. Even at that distance it was HUGE. I have no information about it. Such a large model, attract attention, does anyone know anything about it by chance?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
