Queens Birthday Flypast

Postby Sir_Jon » Sat Jun 17, 2006 9:11 am

Well having just watched it, all I can say is wow and congratulations to the RAF for putting such a good show on. Anyone else here see it? My favourite was the collection of Tornadoes ( F4's I think) Flying in formation.

No sorry, I was lazy and stayed at home and watched it on the TV. I was unlucky, about 2 minutes after the first post, all the Tornadoes flew over my house :'(

Very impressive, but not a patch on the BoB 50th Anniversary flypast in 1990! Then again the RAF's now more than 50% smaller!

A nice mix, and nice to see the Canberra in formation with the Reds...

For those who missed it...

BBMF Lanc, 2 x Spit, 2 Hurricanes,

4 Typhoons,

C-17

Tristar, 2 Typhoons, 2 Jags,

Nimrod, 4 Tornado Gr4s

E3D, 4 Tornado F3s

VC-10, 4 Jags

9 Tornado Gr4s

Reds and Canberra PR9... :)
