Now this is a sleak looking plane! Check out the wing-flex on the machine!

The plane

And now you can do a virtual tour of the interior!

Take me trough it!

It seems to be some luxurious ship! I wanna be on the upperdeck!

Wooo cool! Doesnt look all that different, but i spose they really got no reason to change!

Whys it gone 100/200/300/400 then 800 though??

Upper deck does look cool, but they always do this with new planes, ie show them with on-board casinos etc, then the airlines just pack em' up with as many seats as they can!

A300, A310, A330, A340, A380 ;)

Lol, you missed the A320! ;D

Good spot - hadn't picked up on that trend myself... Maybe something to do with being higher than the A340 variants (500/600) and more importantly, the A380 is starting as the 800 series (the 900 to come in about 5 or 6 years)... :)

The cynic inside me sees it as an old aircraft with new wings and engines... Bit like a Nimrod MRA4... Maybe they should get some advice from BAE Systems... ;) ;D

Cuz of the wings.. they're further developments of the 787 and because of the link with the 787 they called it the 800

I sincerely doubt it had nothing to do with the airbus line.

Saw this sight awhile back but never got around to accualy posting it :P

Sounds like another great plane.  But as aircraft distance capabilities continue to grow I wish airlines really would consider less seats and more room for coach plus a little bar area or something to walk around in.  Who really wants to be on a plane for 18 hours in a standard seat with nothing but the isles to walk in :-/  I would rather have a couple stops then fly a new bird for that long.

Another Boeing note...the first 777-200LR was delivered last week to PIA.  There is a video of its landing in Manchester on www.flightlevel350.com ;)  Haven't found any pictures from the interior but its probably just as cramped as any other bird :P

#s are a little strange with both Airbus & Boeing.  Never could figure out why theres an A340--200, 300, 500, 600....wheres the 100 & 400 ???  Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think there is any Airbus with a 400 version.

Wing flex is probably a little over exagerated...Then again theres the 777 so maybe not.

Wonder what kind of routes airlines will use some these long-range aircraft for.  I know EVA now has the 777-300ER and it seems to be used mostly for the TPE-BKK route.   Why order long range if its only going to be used on short hops ::)  How about a TPE-ORD-TPE route...I think I could make use of that soon :P

Why order long range if its only going to be used on short hops - Triple_7

i was under the impression that airlines used long-range planes on short hops because they can take more passengers.  why use 2 or 3  737's when you can use 1 747.  however i could be completely wrong wich would not surprise me

That's pretty neat , those winglets look really slick and the engine cowling look nice too, I hope they build new 747's and equip the type of upgrades to make it the "800". I really dont' want to see a old 747 be upgraded, for safety reasons etc. Good Luck Boeing!!! ;D
