Im not familiar with that terminology, so Im guessing you're not in the USA.  Here, I know you can have a 3rd class medical with vision 20/30.  But for a 1st or 2nd class medical certificate you need at least 20/20.

A 3rd class medical will allow you to act as a private pilot, ( cannot fly for money or compensation basically)

1st and 2nd class medicals will let you fly for money....

The FAA says that if your vision is correctable to 20/20 by glasses/contact lenses/eye surgery then you're good to go for 1st,2nd medical certificates

hoped this helped,

eye surgery requires a one year after procedure period  before they will give you a medical though

There shouldn't be a problem as long as when wearing your specs you can read the eye-chart for pilots test. At least that is the way it works in Europe...

PS. Try contacting the FAA, they'll have info. ;)

A peek at Captains profile indicates that he comes from Jeddah, (Saudi Arabia)...?
So what would be the flight authority there...?
